Romanesque Revival · Entry door

Romanesque Revival townhouse façade with entry door — Convent Avenue illustration

Project overview

A double oak entry door reproduced from a 1940 tax photograph.

The original doors had been replaced with a flat single leaf. The 1940 tax photograph showed a pair of panelled doors with glazed upper panels and an arched transom.

We reproduced the pair in quarter-sawn white oak, rebuilt the transom to the arch of the opening, and sourced period hardware. The Commission approved the work as a restoration to documented historic condition.
