West 76th Street

Project overview

Round-headed sash rebuilt for a brownstone parlour floor.

The parlour windows are round-headed, and the replacements installed in the 1980s were square with an infill panel above. The difference was visible from the end of the block.

We built new arched two-over-two sash in sapele to the original radius, taken from the masonry openings themselves, and painted them to the colour found under the last layers on the frames.
